One of the things we have noticed constantly during Project Purple Diamond is to see kids come to schools barefoot. The Beautiful Feet is an initiative that provides good footwear for pupils in public primary schools for free. We believe that providing good footwear alongside the new school uniform will go a long way in boosting the self-confidence of an African child whose parents cannot provide such. While concentration in the place of learning is the responsibility of the child, the unnecessary burden of provision of school uniforms and footwear should not be borne by the child.
